While I'm not having a romantic Valentine's Day, I'm still going to share in the joy I have received in the mail that makes it really feel like Valentine's Day to me. I haven't gotten a Valentine's Day gift since Rich was alive. So I'm loving this.
Anita from Going A Little Coastal is the most amazing crafter. This lovely lady in Florida can turn a stick into a masterpiece. What you or I may see as junk, is a work of art for her. Her blog is full of projects she has done and lots of great pictures. She also loves to take scenic pictures in her Florida area called Niceville! Love it.
Anita finally has decided to open her Etsy shop Skyland Drive with lots of goading from her blog followers! She's too talented not to have people wanting to buy her creations. She's slowly adding things to her site so I keep checking back to see what's new. She's also on Facebook too.
These beautiful lavender scented heart sachets jumped off the page at me. I needed something lavender scented because I need to de-stress considering the current living situation. As you can see, Anita wrapped these sachets with love in a beautiful package and bow. The only bad thing about my blog is that you can't smell these gorgeous quilted hearts. I hung one on the scroll work in my headboard and the scent helped me drift off to sleep. The other is next to my reading chair and I can smell it as I type this. There is a choice of hearts too.
Please go check out her blog. She's an awesome writer too with a good sense of humor. Tell her Bouncin Barb sent ya!
So it's a Very Happy Valentine's Day To Me!!
I scratched and sniffed the screen but had to use my imagination, Barb. Anita lives up there on the Panhandle close to Panama City where my favorite movie Ruby in Paradise was filmed. I'm so glad you got a care package and aroma therapy to brighten your day. Happy V-day, BB!
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet Barb! I am so glad you liked them and they helped you sleep. I need to put one by my headboard as well. Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteThose do look great :) I hope the shop goes well for her too.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a very happy Velentine's day.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are enjoying it.

ReplyDeleteI'm not having a romantic Valentine's Day either but then, I don't want romance on a day that was set aside to remind lazy people to be romantic. LOL

ReplyDeleteReceiving a package is always fun and to get something that smells really good is a plus. You might not have received tons of stuff from your blog family but know that you are very special to us and are in our thoughts and prayers daily. Happy Valentines Day my friend.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to promote her on my site bloggerdise.com if she'd be interested.

Oh wow, those are really nice! And lavender, I love the smell of lavender, reminds me of the South of France. Valentines is overrated, bit not when you're surrounded by loving friends!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the moment...
Yum, what a nice gift!

That's a great gift! We kept our Valentine's Day low key, but I got the wife some zombie chocolates and she loved them. They were chocolate human heads with gooey cherry 'brains' on the inside. So much fun to eat. We'll save the romance for another time!
ReplyDeleteGreat gift. You deserve it. I'll definitely go check out her blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice gift! Happy belated Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteNot my favorite day, even under the best of circumstances...

ReplyDeleteBarb, Cute gifts and cute granddaughters too. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely little heart sachets. I love the smell of lavender, and most people use to choose that particular oil when I was doing my massage therapy. Belated happy valentines to you dear friend. I was glad to read in your last post that you have a game plan. As you say, it's all about number 1 at this moment in time. You just look out for yourself!
